[Perhaps it's a touch pessimistic to think it may be a while but... well, the last time Ashi got anywhere like this it was of her own volition. And lacking that power plus having a hunch she might just not be able to go back...
Planning for the long term gives her something to focus on besides inevitably missing the person she shouldn't miss. At least not without feeling some selfishness for it.
Those thoughts are for later though when she takes her nightly wandering stroll of the city. For now she focuses on the present and the distraction.]
