Ohhh, you ran into him on this same post, huh? Guess it's doing its job then.
So yeah, you should have at least one good Manna source set up. Two, actually, counting me. I mean, sure, we'll have to actually set up times to meet up and stuff, but that shouldn't be a big problem.
Oh right, he was looking for sparring partners and more people to sync with, wasn't he? Well, can't say he's not being responsible. Maybe me and Sora should do that too.
Taking these quickly: You're welcome, what's ki, and it's a Keyblade! Way different from Riku's, but that's kinda how it works. Every wielder's keyblade is kinda personalized. I mean, they're linked to our hearts, so that kinda stands to reason, you know?
Well, if you do decide to spar with people, I'd be happy to spar with you sometime.
Huh, I actually had no idea about the keyblade being linked to your heart. Riku didn't really go into a lot of detail about it beyond being a magic sword shaped like a key.
Anyway, ki is basically a living thing's inner lifeforce that can be used to do a bunch of things. I mostly use it to increase my strength and fly, but it's also possible to fire blasts with it.
Woah, that sounds really cool, actually. Both just the idea and what you can do with it. Especially flying.
[That'll be funny in a month or two when she starts really getting into her amethyst powers.]
As for the Keyblades, yeah, they're basically weapons of the heart. The stronger your heart, the stronger your Keyblade, and the more you can do with it. It'd be really fun to pit it against your kind of strength, I think! And probably a good way to get in some decent training, which I could definitely use.
It is really cool. Some of the things I've seen others pull off with it is totally nuts.
I'm really looking forward to it now. I mean, even more so than I was before. Sparring with people with powers that I've never seen before is pretty exciting.
Especially since we all have new powers to throw into the mix, too! I'm still not sure how to use this gem magic, but I'm definitely excited to figure it out!
Course, I'm not the one spitting up fire like poor Riku was...
Yeah, the coughing fire thing was not fun at all. That's definitely something I'm going to have to focus on getting greater control of sooner rather than later.
What type of weird accidental think did you end up doing with your new magic?
Ooof, yeah, forgot you were dealing with that too. Hopefully they can help you get it under control quick.
Super-speed. By which I mean, I was in one place, standing next to Riku, and then suddenly I started moving so fast it was like time slowed down around me. He told me I just looked like a blur. Really handy, but I was exhausted when it kicked off... which wasn't great, since we were still on the surface.
But that super-speed thing sounds incredible. I mean, I can move faster than a lot of people when I'm using my ki, but not so fast that time seems to be slower. I don't think anyone else who uses ki mentioned anything like that either.
Though I guess with how strong everyone they usually fight is, they wouldn't notice since they're all moving just as fast.
Okay, that sounds absolutely wild. And they can move like that without suddenly feeling like they ran a marathon at the end? Cause I can tell you, I just about fell over when it all hit me.
But maybe practice'll help me deal with that, too... That'd be really handy, actually.
Yeah. That's mostly because as you get stronger using your ki, you get more of it, so you get stronger and can last for longer using it.
I'm pretty sure that practice will help with your magic. And if not, then, well, having more Manna will. It's not like you had any when you first used it.

And thanks. I really appreciate it! I wasn't really sure what I was going to do when it came to, well, being able to use my ki.
...Oh, and speaking about powers, is the sword that you train with just a sword or is it a keyblade like Riku has?

And... somehow I didn't think of the whole Manna thing. Yeah, that's probably got a lot to do with it, now that you mention it.

[Which is nuts, even with everything she's seen the last couple of years. ]
You should try using your super speed again soon. I mean, now that you're going to have all of the manna you need.

I'd suggest you do the same, but I'm not sure you want to practice coughing up fire until you get good at it.

Meantime... I dunno, breathing exercises, maybe? Then again if you're into martial arts do you already do that?
no subject
And yeah, I already do them. It's a pretty central part of meditation.

Hopefully we'll find out in the next few days. Until then... well, good luck!

And thanks. I hope you have good luck with figuring out your magic too!

So until then, later, Videl!
