[ Late Christmas Eve or early Christmas Day, Videl gets an anonymous box with her name on it. Inside is an assortment of flavored lubes for her to try.
Look, she said she was trying new things and whatnot. The only thing that comes with the present is a scrawled note that says "Merry Christmas". ]
[ She was apprehensive about it, but it was mostly being nervous about exposing a vulnerability to someone... the rest of it was just what sort of request she had to make. She gave Videl's communicator a call. ]
H-Hey, Videl? I need your help with something... Give me a call back, okay? [ A slight pause. ] Oh, this is Ryuuko, by the way.
[ It takes a while for Videl to answer back since she was out, but as soon as she came back and heard the message she was calling her friend right back. She didn't know what Ryuuko needed help with but she wasn't going to NOT help the other girl.]
Hey, there's no need to apologize! This isn't anything that you should feel guilty about.
[ Honestly, she might not have even had that hesitation reaction even with the quota if that crap with Patara hadn't just happened. But at that last question, she can't help but blink.]
Uh, yeah, Ranka and I did. But even if she's home right now, it'd probably still be better for you to come to our place. [ She pauses.] I mean, I've seen the motel rooms that they've put everyone in the Down. And we can use music to... ah, drown out any noise from us.
[ Videl was a little confused when she saw a message on her device from Sorey, since, well, honestly, they lived on the same floor. It was just as easy to just come up to the door and knock if they wanted to talk.
So she answers as soon as she sees it. Maybe he just didn't want to wake her up early. Or maybe something was wrong. Either way...]
[... And now she's worried. But based on what he was saying, it was possible that Sorey didn't even know where he was anymore.]
I think the only time where that's normal to happen is if you get drunk enough to black out... but I have a feeling if that's what happened you probably wouldn't be calling me.
[ Videl doesn't say anything in response to that for a few moments, because processing that was... well, difficult. Because it didn't make any sense, but Sorey would be the one to know. ]
Well, I guess it's not surprising we wouldn't have heard about it. I mean, we haven't exactly met anyone who arrived here before us...
But that's really the only thing I can think of that would make them do that. [ Well, no, trying to overthrow the government might result in that too, but she was pretty sure she would have heard about it if Sorey had tried to do that.]
Well... we don't actually know if it's just you... I'll have to check with other people I know.
[ It's a good thing that she managed to make a contract in time. Though that meant that she couldn't just take Sorey in now; she didn't really make enough to be able to do that. ]
Uh... I'm guessing that they probably didn't bring any of your stuff with you, did they? Do you want me to try to see if I can get into your old apartment and recover anything?
I wanted to apologize for my behavior under the mistletoe. If I had been in my right mind I would not have torn your shirt. Regretfully, I am unable to pay to have it replaced at this time, but I will soon.
[ Oh good, Yusuke decided to contact her in text when he decided to contact her. She... well, she knew that they should probably talk after the mistletoe crap, but, uh... how do you approach someone you barely know and go "so, about that time we fucked..."?
So now she didn't have to! And text, so no way for him to tell how unsure she was about where to go from here after that whole thing.]
Don't worry about it. It's just a shirt. Not even that expensive of one either.
[ He'd been part of that too...the only people who know are Ryuji, who found him and took him home after, Kakyoin who took care of him, and whoever Ryuji told because he can't keep his mouth shut. Yusuke would prefer to keep it that way. ]
Christmas delivery!
Look, she said she was trying new things and whatnot. The only thing that comes with the present is a scrawled note that says "Merry Christmas". ]
[sometime after the Clone Saga]
H-Hey, Videl? I need your help with something... Give me a call back, okay? [ A slight pause. ] Oh, this is Ryuuko, by the way.

Hi Ryuuko. What do you need help with?
no subject
Hey! How you doing Videl?
[ A hesitant little sigh. ]
Ehhh... you know the whole... quota... thing...?
1/3
2/3
3/3
[ She pauses for a moment.]
Anyway, of course I'll help you out. Are you able to come over to my place easily, or should I come get you?
no subject
[ It sounded ridiculous and she grimaced in embarrassment. ]
Um... is it true you contracted with Ranka? If she's there... it might be better for you to come here.
no subject
[ Honestly, she might not have even had that hesitation reaction even with the quota if that crap with Patara hadn't just happened. But at that last question, she can't help but blink.]

[ She squirmed uncomfortably. ]
no subject
[ Though, if she remembered right, didn't submissives in the Down share their room with someone? ]
What about your roommate though? Or do you not have one?
no subject
Um. I do have money that the clone-me earned. If you helped, I could use it for a... hotel?
no subject
[ Though if they ended up doing this more than once they were really going to have to figure out a better arrangement than finding a hotel each time.]
no subject
Anyway, I'm over at 021-D.
no subject
[ OOC: I set up a thread in my catch all log here.]
Special Delivery!
no subject
Videl? Thenk you could you contact me when you get a moment?
no subject
So she answers as soon as she sees it. Maybe he just didn't want to wake her up early. Or maybe something was wrong. Either way...]
Hey Sorey. What do you need?
no subject
I was wondering... Is it common to wake up in a different place here?
no subject
[... And now she's worried. But based on what he was saying, it was possible that Sorey didn't even know where he was anymore.]
I think the only time where that's normal to happen is if you get drunk enough to black out... but I have a feeling if that's what happened you probably wouldn't be calling me.
[ A quick pause from her.]
... Do you know where you are, at least?
no subject
I'm in the Down. Though, I didn't just wake up here, it looks lime my paperwork was changed.
It could be possible that I'm the first one that this has happened to.
no subject
They... they actually do that?!
no subject
It looks like it. ... I haven't heard of it happening before, either.
I... can't help but wonder if it's because I haven't formed a contract yet.
no subject
But that's really the only thing I can think of that would make them do that. [ Well, no, trying to overthrow the government might result in that too, but she was pretty sure she would have heard about it if Sorey had tried to do that.]
no subject
[ He's stated his dislike for that over and over again. There's no way he can agree with how things are dealt with here - that included. ]
Either way, I'm glad that it's just me.
no subject
[ It's a good thing that she managed to make a contract in time. Though that meant that she couldn't just take Sorey in now; she didn't really make enough to be able to do that. ]
Uh... I'm guessing that they probably didn't bring any of your stuff with you, did they? Do you want me to try to see if I can get into your old apartment and recover anything?
no subject
You sure? It's a pretty long way to the Down from where you are. I should be the one to do it.
no subject
[ Also she has a capsule that she can use to carry all of it. Or at least whatever she's actually able to take. Assuming she can get in, of course. ]
no subject
You can fly?
no subject
[ Though then again...]
... Did I not tell you that before?
no subject
[ He can't help but wonder how she does it... ]
no subject
... Though I guess we mostly saw each other around our apartments, so it's not like I needed to fly there.
[She pauses for a moment, before... ]
Anyway, once I get into your old place, what should I be looking around for?

But okay, if you keep insisting, I'll let you buy me another shirt when you can.
no subject
no subject
... I'm sorry for how I acted during that too.
no subject
no subject
Okay. And I enjoyed myself too.
... You're sure I didn't bruise you up too badly?
no subject
no subject
I still can't believe I got hit with it so many times though.

[ She doesn't know if he knew about Nissen's public punishment thing, and if he didn't she didn't want to just outright tell him.]
no subject
Yes. It was a tiring couple of days.
